LIfe in the Dump

People had told me all sorts of things about the dump before I went. They warned me about what I will see and how bad the smell is but none of that does any justice to the reality of being there. I remember the drive uphill to the dump took us through a cemetery. Reaching the summit put us out in front of a large crypt, to the left is the vast majority of garbage, shanties, and the project site. Everyone exited the vehicle, excited to hand out the juice and sandwiches we had made for the kids. What we saw left us short of words.
