Ministry Focus: The Armitage's have served in Europe since 2002. They currently live in Bratislava, Slovakia, with their three daughters. Sheldon serves as the Network Services Director for the European Freedom Network (the largest evangelical anti-trafficking network in Europe) and provides strategic facilitation and consulting for missionaries and missional organizations around the region. Anna is a pastor at City Church Bratislaval and together they serve on the Leadership Team.
Sheldon and Anna love seeing people discover their God-given potential. They believe the kingdom of God can be revealed in Europe once again.
Ministry History: The Armitage's are a cross-cultural family. Sheldon is from Vancouver, Canada and Anna is from Topolcany, Slovakia. They met in Slovakia and were married in Vancouver, Canada in 2000. Shortly after, they went to England to work with a missions organization that was doing Church Planting, Leadership Development, and Short Term Missions.
In 2012, they started pastoring Bratislava International Fellowship and shortly moved to the capital city. Sheldon is now the Assistant Regional Director and Anna serves on the pastoral staff of the largest Slovak Pentecostal church in the city.
They transitioned roles in 2018 and Sheldon is now the Network Services Director for the European Freedom Network and Anna serves on the pastoral staff of the largest Slovak Pentecostal church in the city.
They have three daughters, Mia, Livia and Stella.
Prayer Requests:
- Growth of the international church in Bratislava.
- Increase in the effectiveness of the EFN partner organizations in combatting human trafficking and exploitation
- Protection as they travel around Europe, ministering to other missionaries and leaders
- Increase in finances and funding as Europe is an incredibly expensive region to be a global worker
